Crossgate Learn & Play Preschool strives to provide the best educational, physical, social and spiritual atmosphere for your child to learn & grow in! Here are just a few reasons why Crossgate Learn & Play Preschool has become the leading preschool in Hot Springs!

1. We offer a daily curriculum called "Mother Goose Time." It is a nationally recognized preschool curriculum that teaches and prepares children academically. Our preschoolers learn numbers, shapes, colors, word recognition, alphabet letters and sounds, Spanish, and sign language, and it is all done through monthly themes that teach them more about a vast array of subjects. We also have an add-on curriculum called "God & Me Time." This is our faith-based curriculum that teaches Bibles verses, stories and songs that build spiritual foundations! Our curriculum is on a 4 year rotating schedule, so if your child attends our preschool from ages 1-5, they will always learn the core curriculum in exciting new ways. Parents will receive monthly newsletters to inform you about what your child is specifically working on so you can continue the learning at home! 2. Our teachers are well trained, many with much more than the 15 DHS required hours per year. We have regular monthly staff meetings, teacher in-service days, seminars and enrichments to help us in providing your child with the best possible care and education available.

3. We prioritize safety. Our parents are required to use a code to enter our locked facility, and then a fingerprint system is in place that allows children to be checked-in and out by authorized parents or approved contacts. We have security cameras in place in all the classrooms that are monitored regularly. We routinely inspect our classrooms and facility to ensure its safety and security.

4. We encourage parent/preschool partnership. If you have a problem, question, concern or suggestion, you are always welcome to schedule a time to have a conference with myself and your child’s teachers. We want to partner with parents in providing the best possible environment for their children! Our preschool is a Conscious Discipline Model School. This method of teaching allows our teachers to see every moment as an opportunity to teach life skills. Every action or behavior demonstrates a child’s skill level. When a behavior or action is not on track with their appropriate developmental level, it is most likely due to the fact that they have not yet acquired the skills needed to handle the situation. It is in those times when our teachers use their training in Conscious Discipline to present, model and teach the appropriate skill that is missing!

Crossgate Learn & Play Preschool is growing and our classrooms are quickly reaching their enrollment capacities. We would like to encourage you to please visit our preschool for a tour and more information! Tours are best during the morning hours (9am – 11am), when you will have the opportunity to visit the classrooms during our core learning & play times. We do have a quiet time between the hours of 12:30 and 2:30, so we will not be able to accommodate room tours at those times.
