More about CryoZone

Welcome to CryoZone-- the first national cryotherapy chain! CryoZone originated in Dallas, and operates three stores. We are in Santa Monica, California, and have two stores in Dallas Texas. Our newest store is in Uptown, Dallas.

So what exactly is cryotherapy? Cryotherapy is a recovery
and treatment solution that stimulates the body to naturally recover at the cellular level. By exposing the body to nitrogen gas, creating ambient temperatures ranging between -160ºF and -260ºF inside a Cryochamber, the body responds by constricting the peripheral tissues and pushing blood to the core. In the core the blood circulates, keeping the core and vital organs’ temperatures in tact; all while picking up vital nutrients. Upon exiting the Cryochamber, oxygen-rich blood circulates back to your extremities, providing nearly instant recovery results.

Some of the benefits of cryotherapy include, but are not limited to-- cellulite reduction, pain relief from joint disorders, increased collagen and skin elasticity, reduced inflammation, improvement in sleep regulation (insomnia), lower blood pressure, energy-boosting endorphins, increased metabolism (one cryotherapy session burns 600-800 calories), improvements in anxiety and depression, and a reduction in post-surgery recovery time by up to 70%.

Whole Body Cryotherapy originated in Japan 40 years ago, making its way through sports rehab and holistic industries across Europe through soccer programs and Olympic track athletic circuits. Most recently, the U.S. sports rehabilitation industry was introduced to Whole Body Cryotherapy via the 2011 Dallas Mavericks 2011 World Championship season. Athletes Shawn Marion and Jason Terry accredited their daily training and post-season recovery to cryotherapy-- tagging it "a full body, two-minute ice bath on steroids!"

At CryoZone our Cryosaunas are an open design concept that pumps nitrogen gas around your body. As an ice bath is a form of recovery for many professional athletes, the Cryosauna provides a way of simulating an ice bath without the direct cold contact. Because the Cryosauna has the ability to drop to sub zero temperatures so quickly and efficiently, this equates to a 2-3 minute session versus the painfully long ice bath (usually 20 minutes or more). Many experts concede that an ice bath is to cryotherapy, what a nap is to a full night sleep.
