CSU College of Veterinary Medicine and Biomedical Sciences

Research at the College of Veterinary Medicine and Biomedical Sciences has emerged from one grounded in the diagnosis and treatment of animal disease to one dedicated to improving animal and human health through a greater understanding of all living systems. While the veterinary research remains the heart of the College and forms the foundation of much of the innovative work at Veterinary Medical Center, societal demands create new frontiers for basic and applied science, medicine, and biomedical research.

CVMBS differs from most US schools and colleges of veterinary medicine in that we offer undergraduate degrees as well as the Professional Veterinary Medical Program. CVMBS has three undergraduate degree programs (Biomedical Sciences, Environmental and Radiological Health Sciences, and Microbiology, Immunology, and Pathology), 11 graduate degrees (five MS, six PhD), and the Doctor of Veterinary Medicine professional degree. All three undergraduate degrees prepare students for the workforce, for entry to graduate degree programs, and for entry into several professional degree programs including veterinary medicine, dentistry, and medicine. Students get to work alongside world-class faculty in an atmosphere designed to help you succeed at Colorado State University.
