It takes a community to build and sustain a safe, healthy, and drug-free environment for our young people.
We are a coalition of parents, students, local government, school officials, clergy, healthcare providers and others working together to reduce alcohol and other drug use among youth in Bannockburn, Deerfield, Highland Park, Highwood, and Riverwoods.
The origins of CTAD begin in 2009 when Parents – The Anti-Drug was established. In 2015, the coalition expanded to include a variety of community representatives and became Community -- The Anti-Drug, a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization.
CTAD ‘s goals are to:
- Decrease access to alcohol and marijuana
- Increase communication among students, parents and community members
- Provide community awareness on substance abuse education programs in the school and community
- Improve student social-emotional wellness through increased student engagement
