Established in Champaign-Urbana in 2012, CU Bands and Fans (CUBAF) is an organization that provides support, promotion and documentation of the live, local music scene. CUBAF promotes live music events and venues through professional photography, videography, social media, and other services to local artists. CUBAF has created a platform to introduce the original music of local artists by hosting an Original Artist Night every third Thursday of the month at Boomerangs Bar & Grill in Urbana. There is also a subsidiary of CUBAF in Indianapolis as well.

Our First Year History:
Our 1 Year info: May 28th - Today marks 1 Year since opening this page - loving Photography - I was asked by a few friends who were in bands to come and take a few pics of them performing (Crazy Johnny Band and Family Matters Band) opened this page..named it and the rest is history now I had to find Live Local Music - and I did...Cliff Stoker introduced me to the live Music scene and I am grateful to Cliff, Nickel and Dimes was a fresh new band coming on the scene and one of the first bands also I got on the page..Nickel and Dimes and CU BANDS AND FANS have watched each other grow and expand in this year - I added Zack Widup to the page 6 months into it when Zack jump danced with me at a parking lot party I knew he was the man for this page (lol) plus his knowledge of CU Musicians and history - I call Zack the Music History Machine..he has been so much fun to work with and go watch shows with..he has brought so much to this page and the community of live local music - he is loved by all and it is a honor to have him on this page. We have over 100 photo albums posted - we have gained over 100 Fans a month - we have met some tremendous people - danced like their is no tomorrow to several bands in CU - we have witnessed some incredible jaw dropping talent - we have gained several establishments in CU that that host Live Local Music -

This has been a great year and a great experience.. Cheers to the Musicians and Fans that have utilized and enjoyed this page as much as we have enjoyed working it... Rock on CU - keep it live and get some ~~~
