Cullman County Museum

The Cullman County Museum houses historical artifacts from the surrounding
Cullman County area. Each room displays treasures that represent different times
periods in the early years of our City and County way of life. From the
Mississippian culture, Pre-Civil War artifacts, life long ago can be re-visited.
From the onset of the Civil War through Alabama’s Reconstruction’s Era and
under the watchful eye of the rail road and Johann Gottfried Cullmann, this land
mass now called Cullman developed into a destination for the working man who
had dreams, and the wealthy who wanted to summer in the warm climate and
take a dip in the natural springs that the area was known for.

Most people reflect on times past as a simpler time… visit our museum and enjoy
reminiscing about those times passed with our digital photo collection’s,
Cullman’s timeline, local histories , historic newspapers, and other resources that
will help you see through the eyes lives of those who lived here before us, and gain a better understanding of how they lived.
