Protecting and Serving the Citizens of Cumberland County

Cumberland County is a great place to work, raise a family and enjoy life. With a growing population of an estimated 52,344 citizens we feel that we take the saying to "Serve and Protect" a little further. With all of our Units pulling together providing safety presentations to area organizations and Churches as well as supporting Neighborhood Watch programs we like to get to know our community and the people who live in it.

Even though we are a small community it does not mean that we are not ever vigilant and working with other larger cities and metro areas to always be aware and be prepared for the ever-changing landscape of criminal behavior and the latest danger that might fall our community.

On those occasions where our office is needed, we respond in a manner that you will find both fair and professional.

We are the law enforcement agency for the county of Cumberland. Our duties include, but are not limited to the legal service of warrants and civil papers, road patrol, traffic control and criminal investigation.

We are also charged with the responsibility for the protection of the county court system as well as maintaining the jail and juvenile detention facilities.

We are very proud of to be part of this community and to be able to share it with you.
