I offer physical therapy services to address musculoskeletal injuries, improve performance, and prevent future injuries. Services include manual therapy, dry needling, and corrective exercises for addressing impairments and improving movement patterns.
I started Cunningham Strength and Rehab because I was frustrated by the restricting insurance regulations and productivity standards that I saw in standard practice clinics. I did not feel like I could perform at my best or give my patients excellent quality of care in these settings. With my own business, I am able to give my clients 100%. I focus on empowering my clients with the knowledge and skills that they need to manage their condition on their own. I also believe that physical therapy should be about more than just treating injuries; it should also be about optimizing movement and preventing injuries. I use my skills and knowledge to help my clients overcome their injuries, as well as improve their athletic performance and prevent future injuries.
In addition to being a Doctor of Physical Therapy, I have a strong background in strength & conditioning that allows me to go above and beyond the standard treatments found in traditional physical therapy clinics. I have been a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist since 2009 and worked as a personal trainer prior to becoming a physical therapist. I am also CrossFit Level 1 certified and currently coach CrossFit classes at Evolution Athletics. I have a special interest in the tactical population, and have attended the Tactical Advanced Programming Seminar and completed a fellowship with Mountain Tactical Institute. My fellowship focused on improving heavy rucking and upper body pulling strength in female tactical athletes. I am also trained in trigger point dry needling having completed Dry Needling Courses I and II offered by Double E PT Education.
