It all started in 1993 when Greg and Karlene Currie had the opportunity to purchase a small furniture store just south of Chum’s Corners in Traverse City, Michigan.

Not stopping there, the Currie’s brought another great concept to Northern Michigan: Designer-coordinated room settings complete with rugs, lamps and accessories. The groupings change to reflect the newest styles and the freshest colors, making it easier to decorate your home – while Saving even MORE money with Currie’s Room Packages.

By 1998, business had grown. Currie’s doubled the size of the building, and remodeled the original half. A popular saying is “If you build it, they will come” – and they did – from all over northern Michigan!!!
