More about Cuyahoga Falls Oktoberfest

Since 1979, the Oktoberfest in Cuyahoga Falls has raised over a million dollars which has been donated back into this wonderful community in a variety of ways. We would like to share with you where our contributions have gone. First and foremost, we have donated thousands of dollars to assist students in continuing their education by granting college scholarships every year to as many as 6 deserving students. We wish this year's recipients the best of luck in their future endeavors.

Our committee also takes great pride in supporting the Muscular Dystrophy Association's yearly event sponsored by the Yovanovich family. We have donated thousands of dollars to support the fight to find a cure for this disease. In addition to supporting the MDA, we have also joined the fight against cancer by actively supporting and donating to the Cuyahoga Falls Cancer Society. The Cancer Club is a privately funded organization in the Falls that helps cancer patients who may otherwise not have the financial support to keep up their battle with this terrible disease. These two organizations and hundreds of others have requested assistance and received funds.

Over the years, this city has gone out of its way to create memorials and parks to create lasting memories and to provide a history of this city for its residents. This is done through general destinations from the community and other organizations like ours. We are proud to have done it into just about all of them, including but not limited to, the Rain Garden on Sixth Street, The Indian Monument on Front Street, the Doodle Bug Memorial, Layborne Complex at Bolich Middle School, the Clock Tower and Interactive Fountain downtown, and most recently the Police Memorial.

We would like to take a moment to thank the community of Cuyahoga Falls for your continued support of this festival area without your support this festival would not happen. Over the years, we have successfully brought you the best possible each year. It takes countless hours of preparation and dedication but we are determined to do it! As you've you are festival this year, you will see some very noticeable changes to our side. We are changing things up in trying some new ideas to give you a fresh look in to bring a more authentic feel to the festival. We promise, with your continued support, to make this an even better Oktoberfest for many years to come. We thank you for your support!

Sincerely,

The Cuyahoga Falls Oktoberfest Committee
