Dakota's Pals Dog Training & Boarding

Dakota's Pals is named after our favorite mascot, Dakota. He has taught me more life lessons than any one person could ever learn in school and I have him to thank for leading me to an occupation that brings me nothing but happiness and fulfillment. I contribute my achievement of becoming a professional dog trainer and behavioral specialist solely to him.

As a trainer, I have slowly been welcoming dogs I was currently working with into my home until one day I realized that this is how I want to live my life, seeing dogs happy to be on vacation! I have witnessed a dog have traumatic week's stay in veterinary or boarding kennel due to isolation, stressful over-crowding, lack of rest, or even no activity at all other than potty walks. That's no way for your best furry friend to spend their week when they could be relaxing, just like you, for the same price in our homes.

Embarking on this adventure is certainly a lifelong goal and has opened many doors for me, but we are looking at expanding in order to reach a goal of owning our own facility! To begin this new chapter, we're now including field trip adventures for your pups that are stuck in a house all day, as well as our original services.

We specialize in behavioral issues, so any dog with special needs is welcome and a plan is set according to the needs of the dog. We perform any, and all, forms of obedience training at the parents request. Prices vary according to the situation, but I can assure you, as can my hundreds of references, not only will your dog have a comfortable stay in my home with plenty of activities, they will also return without the bad habits normal boarding facilities inspire, and more likely than not, with even better manners!

We have finally bought a home and expanded so we have plenty of space for pack work, and we can accommodate more pups that will have a great time in our home making new friends. However spaces fill up quickly so plan ahead to snag your pup a place he/she will thoroughly enjoy! Both my significant other and I care for the dogs that we welcome into our home, thanks to our flexible schedules, dogs are left alone no more than 4 hours if both of us happen to be working that day, but it varies with our schedule. When away dogs are either crates, separated throughout the house, or able to free roam with my pack if applicable. Each dog varies according to personality and whether they are trusted to free roam their houses. We are certainly about safety first however, so if there is any doubt that the dogs may not get along while we are away, even for a short period of time, we make sure to safely crate or separate.

Please make sure that you dog is up to date on all shots and if possible provide us with records to put on file. This is important with any boarding facility, especially here at Dakota's Pals where we also work hands on with rescue dogs.
