Dancing Cow Farm

Dancing Cow Farm offers a Weston Price based, nutrient dense 'whole diet' array of farm raised products. We seek to provide year round offerings to our farm partners built around our dairyshare agreement for raw milk prepared by the Farm to Consumer Legal Defense Fund. We are a relationship based farm and offer scheduled pickups and farm tours. Relationship based partners understand the industrial food system and choose us because they love what we are doing and how we are doing it. They giggle with us when approached by a gobbling turkey, and, accompanied, love to scratch piggy bellies and delight in their bliss. In 2013 we will finally achieve what we term 'beyond organic and sustainable' in feeding the farm from the farm using only non GMO, non-hybrid seeds, including organic orchard grass and alfalfa hay plus barley, buckwheat, field peas, oats, rye, corn, apples, pumpkins, sweet potatoes, mangel beets and garden leftovers for the critters who are all on pasture. No chemicals, no hormones, no antibiotics, no soy. Only compost and biodynamic preps from the Josephine Porter Institute in Woolwine, VA feed our fields.

Current offerings include pastured pork, chicken, eggs, and raw dairy products for dairyshare partners. Add three season garden produce and 'put up' offerings in the winter. We continue to expand and provide new product offerings such as maple syrup and tamanu oil infused with our farm grown calendula, evening primrose, and borage for skincare. Our beef is sold for 2015 but do come enjoy a bacon cheeseburger at any of the awesome Farmer's Markets we are a part of! Come grow with us!
