Edmund Heinzel founded D&H Lawn Irrigation in 1962 and quickly earned a loyal following around the Chicago area for his hands-on approach and ability to expertly design, install, and service underground lawn sprinkler systems. Edmund Heinzel was followed into the business by his son, Richard Heinzel, Sr. and, later, his grandson, Richard Heinzel, Jr. Today, D&H Lawn Irrigation, Inc. vice president Ryan Heinzel represents a fourth generation in the family-owned firm that remains one of Chicagoland’s premier lawn irrigation companies.

D&H’s experienced crews professionally install and maintain every irrigation system, leveraging modern technology, including intuitive sensors and innovative nozzle designs, as well as extensive knowledge of soil and plants to ensure a beautifully landscaped exterior that provides efficient and responsible use of water – and a property owner’s money – in the present and well into the future.

Over the last decade, D&H has expanded its services to further enhance the curb appeal and security of its clients’ properties. The firm has added landscape lighting and drain tile into its repertoire, two new specialties that complement D&H Lawn Irrigation’s experience with irrigation systems and heighten the firm’s longstanding commitment to dynamic, lively, and safe landscapes.
