Mr. Daniel J. Mulcahy, is owner of Dankor Development Company, LLC. and is devoted to revitalizing Springfield, Illinois. Mr. Mulcahy could be looked upon as an “over-reaching” dreamer with memories of a once vibrant Capitol City, and a vision of bringing back the star quality one felt when they went to the Orpheum Movie Theater. And it’s clear Dan is all of these – “gutsy, visionary, renegade ," but it’s simply his astute business sense and passion for history and a strong commitment to community.

It is this passion that has brought him to the decision to build Metropolitan Place, and the Orpheum Cultural Center, in downtown Springfield, Illinois. And in doing so, saving the historical First United Methodist Church, which sits at 5th and Capitol.
