Rules and General Information

The Port-A-John will arrive about April 1st and will remain until October 15.

WE DO NOT FURNISH WOOD FOR FIRES OR OTHERWISE. Do not burn lumber or wood, or use brick or block located on club property for fire rings.

All large mouth bass, small mouth bass and hybrid stripped bass must be released unless it is trophy size and you wish to have it mounted. This is the only way we can maintain good bass fishing.

Limit of two channel catfish per day unless you are eating them at the lake and minimum of 12 inches.

Absolutely no fish are to be removed from the lake for the purpose of stocking a lake elsewhere.

Crappie MUST be at least 10 inches long to keep, and a daily limit of 10 crappie. We ask that you don't fill your freezer with crappie from Darby Lake.

All children under 18 years of age must wear a life vest while in a boat. We encourage all adults to do the same. All children under age 15 are permitted in boats only when accompanied by a member.

All boats must be equipped with a life preserver or a kapok cushion for each occupant.

Electric motors ONLY on boats.

Camping and overnight fishing is permitted in most areas so long as tents, other equipment, and vehicles do not disturb or block the flow of traffic. No parking at any time in the roadway.

ALL OVERNIGHT CAMPERS MUST REGISTER BEFORE ENTERING CAMPING AREAS. A DUAL CAMPER/GUEST REGISTRATION FORM WILL BE AVAILABLE AT THE HOUSE

Camp fires are permitted, but must be contained and put out prior to leaving.

ABSOLUTELY NO SWIMMING IN THE LAKE AT ANY TIME.

No frog hunting in the lake by members or guests of members.

Turtle hunting in lake is permitted with jugs only and prior permission by management.

ALL TRASH MUST BE PLACED IN BARRELS. PLEASE, NO BURNING OF TRASH IN BARRELS. WE ARE NOT IN THE TRASH COLLECTING BUSINESS. SO PLEASE DO NOT BRING TRASH FROM HOME OR WORK. IF YOU GENERATE A LOT OF GARBAGE, PLEASE BRING A GARBAGE BAG AND TAKE IT TO THE DUMPSTER BEFORE LEAVING THE SITE.

Please help us monitor improper activity and/or use of lake by nonmembers. Take a license # and pass on to me.
