Darkwood Mustangs

Our Story:
Shaunna and Sarah were both raised around horses and appreciating everything-equine. Sarah grew up on a farm that bred and raised quarter horses and Shaunna grew up competing on the Hunter/Jumper circuits; it wasn’t until Sarah adopted her first mustang that the two would meet. During the process of coordinating shipping for a group of mustangs from Colorado to North Carolina, Sarah and Shaunna met and quickly found out that they had a lot in common. Once they discovered they had mustangs and X-Files in common, they knew they were destined for good things together.
During one of their many conversations about mustangs they started discussing how hard it was for a lot of people based on the East Coast (both in the North and South) to adopt mustangs; either potential adopters had no means of transportation, they were unable to find a facility that was familiar with gentling mustangs, or they were unable to find TIP mustangs locally. In other cases, international mustang enthusiasts were not able to adopt because BLM mustangs are not allowed out of the US until they receive their title (which means up to a year in most situations), which means a costly waiting period.
Because of their passion for mustangs, and their desire to share their passion with others, Sarah and Shaunna decided to focus their efforts on providing TIP horses to those wanting to adopt a mustang, aide international buyers in their search for the perfect American Legend, and gentle mustangs for those in need of trainers familiar with mustangs. In other words, they wanted to enable equestrians everywhere to enjoy mustangs as much as they have.
