F.D.S.K - Das Haus stands for Freunde Deutscher Sprache und Kultur – Das Haus and translates to "Friends of German Language and Culture – the House".
We have been at our location since 1965. What location, you ask? 2318 2nd Ave. North in Birmingham 35203 or, rather, that dark spot between Rogue and Urban Standard.
We are a non-profit 501(c)3 corporation and we've opened the doors to our private club as a full service bar!!
We've held our annual Oktoberfest for nearly 50 Years, that's the ORIGINAL, tradmarked Birmingham Oktoberfest. We also hold German Fasching (carnivale), Mardi Gras dances, Maifest, Sommerfest, Christmas celebrations including a Christmas Market (Dec 8), New Years eve parties and many other events (even your private parties).
