Daughters of Baca(Domestic Abuse Ministry)

I am a survivor of date rape and domestic abuse. At 18 yrs old I survived an attack by my date after we returned home from our first date. I struggled with him in the back seat of the car until I couldn't fight anymore and he gave up and I was able to get out of the car and run to my dorm. I never reported it. I survived years of domestic abuse at the hands of my husband until I was able to move here to Hattiesburg in 2002 with my four children. I went through physical beatings where he would put knives and razors to my throat. I was isolated from my family and couldn't have a job, drive the car or have friends. He broke my nose when I was 7 months pregnant with my third child, Marcus.This is a real issue in our community and I desire to bring it to light by bringing awareness to young girls and women and our community.
