Located at historic St. Joseph House in Emmitsburg, MD, the Archives combine the collections of four former U.S. Daughters of Charity Provinces: St. Louis, MO; Evansville, IN; Albany, NY; and Emmitsburg. Recently renovated, the Archives now boasts a state-of-the art repository, collection exhibit space, and a reading room for researchers.
Reading Room hours are 8:00 AM to noon and from 1 to 4:00 PM Monday through Friday. Please contact the Archives staff to make an appointment to see reference materials. Contact us at 301-447-6041.
The Daughters of Charity Heritage Room exhibit is open to the public Wednesdays from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM.
