Davidson County Schools Social Media Community Guidelines

The purpose of the Davidson County Schools District's Facebook and Twitter accounts is to share information and facilitate an ongoing exchange of ideas about our schools and our students.
You are encouraged to submit comments, questions, and concerns, but please note this is a moderated online discussion site and not a public forum.

We are excited to have you join us. Like our stories and share them with your friends. And be sure to tell all your friends that we're here, so they can join us, too.

Guidelines For Participating On This Page

Be respectful.
Inappropriate remarks, personal attacks of any kind, and comments deemed to be offensive or disparaging will not be tolerated and will be deleted. This behavior will put the user at risk of being blocked from participating on the social media network in the future.

Further, Davidson County School District also reserves the right to delete comments that:
contain spam, advertising, solicitations or include links to other sites; are clearly off topic or disruptive; use vulgar language and profanity: are obscene or sexually explicit; this includes masked words (***), acronyms, and abbreviations; are deceptive messages; promote particular services, products, or political organizations or campaigns; infringe on copyrights or trademarks; advocate illegal activity; violate any policies of Davidson County School District.

Our channels are dedicated to Davidson County Schools. Let's keep the conversation related to the school community as a whole. Comments of all kinds are welcome as long as they directly relate to the social media network and our school community audience.

Communicating with School Personnel

School personnel are authorized to use school-controlled technology resources and social media tools to communicate directly with students. Failure to use only school-controlled technology resources and social media tools may result in disciplinary action up to and including dismissal of the employee.

Users should not expect direct responses to every question or comment posted.


Repeated abuse of the above guidelines can lead to blocking or removal from our social media network.
