Daylight Donuts - Pell City

In 1954, Tommy and Lucille Day set out to create a new kind of donut mix — one with a distinctively light texture and flavor. The Day’s light donut recipe became Daylight Donuts. Daylight Donuts of Pell City is part of the Daylight Donuts national chain of around 1,000 shops across the country. However, it is NOT a franchise. It is a Licensee and owned by a local resident who lives right here in our sweet home Pell City. Being a licensee, the business can be more independently operated to fit the needs of local clientele, supplies can be purchased at favorable prices so savings can be passed on to customers. In addition, being locally owned, we use local suppliers/vendors like Colby's Creamery and Red Diamond Coffee for milk and coffee products respectively. And the 60 year-old light donut recipe and process are still being used today. Pell City locally owned and operated!
