Edward H. Fries, OD, of Decatur Eye Center in Decatur, Texas, is a specialist in glaucoma management. A believer that eyesight and nutrition are intimately connected, Dr. Fries enjoys teaching his patients of this connection, for the maintenance of normal eyesight as well as to slow or halt the progression of vision loss tied to other conditions, such as age-related eye issues or diabetes.
Dr. Fries received his degree from the University of Houston College of Optometry in 1998. He stays up-to-date with all developments in the field of optometry, and he has pursued additional training in optical coherence tomography and autofluorescence fundus photography, among other state-of-the-art vision care technologies.
