Del Mar Ballet

Del Mar Ballet offers classes and workshops for dancers of all ages who are looking for an encouraging environment that combines intensive technical training with a strong creative component to provide a unique and challenging dance training experience. Our school offers quality training in classical and contemporary ballet, choreography and improvisation, musical theater, and jazz dance. For summer, we offer three levels of workshops: Budding Ballerinas: a two-hour class introducing the basics of ballet and jazz dance every Saturday morning throughout the summer (ages 3-6 yrs old). Junior Summer Intensive: July 5-29 | M-F 9:00am-2:30pm. This intensive is tailored to the intermediate, yet serious, dance student who loves to dance and create (ages 8-14). Advanced Summer Workshop for the advanced dancer offering focuses on variations, advanced pointe, and floor barre: August 3, 4, 5 / 10, 11, 12, & 13 | 9:30am-2:30pm. Family discounts available. In addition to technical training, Del Mar Ballet’s unique student choreography program allows dancers to explore their creative potential and express themselves in new ways, as well as providing them with skills that will open up new career paths in the dance world. With highly trained staff of both former and current professional dancers, we take pride in sharing with our students a love of dance and the performing arts, as well as providing them with the skills to learn and work in creative environments throughout the community. Del Mar Ballet has recently teamed up with the Del Mar Foundation and other local artists in ‘bringing Del Mar Ballet back to Del Mar’, with a series of upcoming public performances and events.
