More about Delta Delta Delta at UW-Madison

Delta Delta Delta is an international women’s fraternity that engages its members for life through timeless values, enduring friendships and innovative opportunities for growth. With over 200,000 initiates and 138 chapters, Tri Delta is one of the world’s largest NPC sororities. Delta Delta Delta - Mu Chapter has maintained a strong presence on the UW-Madison campus for 115 years. Delta Delta Delta provides a loving and energetic environment for women to grow and succeed with each other during their collegiate career.

We encourage our members to take advantage of all the opportunities Tri Delta and UW-Madison have to offer. As dedicated students, the women of Tri Delta pride themselves in finding the right balance between our extracurricular activities and academics. Tri Deltas are extremely involved in the Greek Community and enjoy taking part in events such as Homecoming, Humorology, and Greek Week as well as supporting other chapters on campus. The women of Delta Delta Delta also take part in an array of academic, professional, and athletic organizations. Members hold leadership positions not only within our chapter and the Greek community, but in various student organizations as well.

One of the most important things to a Tri Delta is our dedication to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. In 1999, Delta Delta Delta Fraternity officially adopted St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital as its philanthropic partner. In July 2006, Tri Delta made a commitment to raise $10 million in 10 years. Because of the unwavering efforts of all its members, Tri Delta announced in May 2010, just nearly four years later, Tri Delta met the $10 million fundraising goal. In July 2010, Tri Delta announced it would take on a new, more aggressive challenge – to raise $15 million in 5 years. To date, Tri Delta members have raised more than $21 million for the kids at St. Jude and nearly $10 million of the $15 million goal. No other Greek organization has had this level of commitment to a charitable partner, and few are raising a comparable amount of money.

One common attribute all the women of Tri Delta share is a genuine and sincere abiding friendship with one another. Tri Deltas love to have fun together. Every year we plan sisterhoods, formals, and themed social events. All of this and more makes Tri Delta sisterhood an important part of the collegiate experience. The bond of friendship and loyalty between the sisters of Delta Delta Delta is something we will all treasure now and for the rest of our lives.
