Delta Psi Delta is one of the oldest fraternities in the United States. It is the oldest local fraternity in the Pacific Northwest still in existence. A 'local' fraternity, DPD was founded in 1904 at Linfield College
The Brothers of Delta Psi Delta are active in all phases of campus life. From athletics to scholarship to social events, members of the fraternity are involved in every way. They have recently participated in fundraising for the Susan G. Komen Foundation in order to raise awareness of breast cancer; on Make A Difference Day the Deltas helped by working with the Salvation Army's Community Gardens in McMinnville, helping to prepare their gardens for the winter months; this last October they raised supplies for the Yamhill County Food Bank and the Henderson House Foundation; they have also made a significant contribution this past year to the Alpha Phi Sorority's Red Cross Gala, which supports the American Heart Disease Foundation.
Some other activities the Brothers partake of include intramural football, soccer and bowling, as well as drama and music. Members of the fraternity are on Linfield's Track Team, BasketBall Team, Golf Team and Football Team. Delta Psi Delta is represented on the Interfraternity Council with two members and another member is on the IFC Executive Board.
