Dental Careers Institute

Started in 1987, Dental Careers is the oldest and most experienced dental assisting program of its kind in Atlanta. You will be taught in an actual practicing dental office and learn from dental professionals who practice and teach the most current up-to-date methods.

Classes meet every week for 10 weeks. We offer classes on Friday, Saturday and weeknights. Friday and Saturday classes meet from 8:30AM to 5PM and the weekday group meets on Tuesday AND Wednesday from 6-9:30 PM.. Everything is included in the tuition: all books, uniform scrubs, equipment, materials, clinical supplies, home study materials, referral service. We have a teacher-to-student ratio of 1 instructor for every 4 students in the clinic. There is NO OTHER school in Atlanta which can match that teacher to student ratio of personalized attention.

We have had many students transfer to our school from other local “year long” programs saying, “I got tired of sitting in a classroom for 8 months and never working in any clinical setting!!” Our students are working in a real dental office clinical environment from the VERY FIRST DAY.

There are several dental assisting programs to choose from in the Atlanta area. Some of them will NOT give you the cost of their program over the phone or in their literature. Can you really trust them to provide you with a quality teaching program? We also won't waste your time teaching you subjects that do nothing more than inflate the program to 6-12 months to justify a tuition of $18,000. Our lecture room uses state-of-the-art audio-visual PowerPoint™ equipment to make the learning experience both interesting and enjoyable. The lecture and clinic sessions are held at our dental office which has the absolute latest in dental technology, including digital xrays, CEREC CAD-CAM, and state-of-the-art treatment room equipment.

We have dentists calling our office requesting our students, and many dentists send us students to train for them as well. As dental professionals ourselves, we have a great working relationship with our fellow dentists in the metro Atlanta area and our reputation is second to none!

We are a recognized state teaching institution, authorized and licensed by the Georgia Nonpublic Postsecondary Educational Institutions (www.gnpec.org). Our school is listed at the Georgia Dental Association's website.

The course is designed to give the student maximum "hands-on" training and experience in an actual practicing dental office. You will be taught the most up-to-date techniques using the very best technology available. The teaching is stimulating, fast paced, and relies heavily on individual participation. Each class is limited to just 12 students. This insures personal attention and a worthwhile learning experience. You will not have time to be bored.
Unlike the “year-long” schools, which require you to work as an extern FOR FREE in a dental office after graduation because they haven’t taught you these skills, our students are hired immediately upon graduation to well paying jobs. Why work two months for free?

Our Placement Service is FREE to both dentists and students. Students from our program are being offered positions averaging $13.00 to $15.00 per hour and higher to start. Doctors requesting our students have heard of us through word of mouth or through past experience in hiring our students. Our former students are working in dental offices virtually all over the greater metro Atlanta area and surrounding suburbs. Many of our students chose our program because their dentist recommended us. Just ask your dentist, he/she has probably heard of our program and/or hired one of our students.

Don't waste your time with other programs which will have you sitting in a classroom for 8 months reading from a book!! Why spend $18,000 for a program like that when you can learn from real dental professionals in an actual dental office.
