The Department of Art and Design at ISU is fully accredited by the National Association of Schools of Art & Design (NASAD).
Our interdisciplinary department features courses in Graphic Design, Art History, Art Education, and Studio Arts areas including digital arts, photography, printmaking, painting, drawing, ceramics, and other sculptural media.
The Department's studios and facilities are found in four buildings on the ISU campus:
- The Fine Arts Building (FA) houses the Department offices, most faculty offices, Turman Art Gallery, graphic design laboratories and studios, and other studio and classroom spaces.
- Fairbanks Hall (FH) is the home of the painting, photography and printmaking studios as well as the Bare/Montgomery Student Gallery.
- The Landini Center for Performing and Fine Arts (PA) contains the University Art Gallery.
- The Art Annex (AA) accommodates the ceramics, wood-sculpting and metal-sculpting studios.
