Detroit Impact

Detroit Impact is a youth center established to work with youth in our community to teach, mentor, guide, motivate and encourage. Our programs and services engage our youth and help them prepare for their future. What does all this mean?

Detroit Impact is looking at long-term solutions through devotion, determination and hard work. Our volunteers share our vision and support their beliefs with affirmation and action. Our staff and volunteers are great models. It is largely because of them that our programs make a difference.

BECOME A VOLUNTEER
To volunteer or to get training for your community, contact us at 313-272-0004. An “organized” community group begins with a team of 3-5 diligent members with the intent to recruit more community members. Each community is responsible to their team and each other.

The volunteer roles include:

Car Patrol (driver or observer)
Foot Patrol (2 person teams)
Phone Support (text or call other community members of incidents)
Eyes and Ears (text or call patrol base of suspicious activities)
Advocates (write letters to city and government officials to request for assistance)
Organizers (assist to organize and train other community members)
Reporters (write articles for website and other media highlighting patrol efforts and human interest stories.)
