The Detroit Wayne Music Studio has been serving professional musicians and students since Emil and Dorothy Moro opened its doors in 1959. For decades, Detroit Wayne Music Studio has been THE standard by which other woodwind studios have measured their performance. Now under new ownership, we strive to uphold the studio's tradition of excellence in sales and services.

Expert restoration and sales of vintage saxophones and woodwinds are our specialties.

We also stock a large selection of supplies and accessories. This includes over two hundred woodwind mouthpieces, reeds, reed working tools, reed cases, valve and key oils, swabs, neck straps, metronomes, tuners, and much more. Our extensive selection of products specific to the saxophone is unique within the metro-Detroit area.

We have a large selection of print music with something for everyone, from first time Solo & Ensemble participants, through advanced college repertoire. Our selection includes both sacred and secular music for band instruments, guitar, piano, and voice.

The professionally active instructors at the Detroit Wayne Music Studio have consistently produced professional musicians and teachers. Lesson scholarships are available.

It is a good idea to set aside a generous amount of time for visits. During your visit you are welcome to play through our large selection of modern and vintage instruments and mouthpieces. We are happy and able to answer any questions you may have.
