Welcome to our PICK YOUR OWN apple orchard!

We purchased the farm in 2012 as a working hobby after Larry’s 28 years in the Marine Corps and 8 years working for a company in Greensboro.

The farm is 57 acres of hardwoods and tall pine trees, with an apple orchard and muscadines.

Our focus at Devil Dog Orchard is family fun. We invite you and your family to come to pick apples and enjoy being outside together taking in the scenery.

Farm Parties

We welcome group visits: class rooms, office parties, church groups, reunions, etc. Reminiscent of quieter times - a fun country family experience. Spread a blanket or set up your tables for your picnic lunch under the pecan trees. See an antique cider mill demonstration and enjoy cider tasting in season - usually Aug through Oct. Pick a small bag of apples for each family at no extra charge. Classes with kids too young to pick? No problem, we'll pick, wash, and arrange a display so the kids can fill their bag. Hay rides, nature trails around the pond. Bob for apples if you want. Plenty of field parking with drop off in the picnic area.

Make Your Own Cider

Ask about our family cider making experience. Pick a bucket of apples, mix and match to customize your cider and make a gallon. Plan on about an hour picking, grinding, pressing, jugging,and cleaning up. We standby to coach through the process but try to be unintrusive to your family memory. They'll talk about it at the Thanksgiving table for years. Grandparents are our best customers! Advance reservation only.
