Dino's Pizza Express

Dino's Pizza was founded by the Buonsante family in 1975 and remains family owned to this day. Gaetano Buonsante was born in Mola di Bari, Italy and came to the United States at the age of 12 in search of the American dream. While living in New York, he began his journey in the pizza industry at the age of 15 while making pizza in Manhattan. He worked in New York until 1972 when he moved to Pennsylvania to work at Luca's Pizza in the Wyoming Valley Mall. After 3 years, Gaetano had the opportunity to purchase the business and changed the name to Dino's as a tribute to his father Leonardino. He had great success from this point forward, and over the past 35 years has opened stores across the United States, many of which are located here in Pennsylvania. Today, Gaetano's son Dominic and his wife Kendra operate the original Dino's in the Wyoming Valley Mall Food Court. Dominic began working for his father at the age of 13, serving as an apprentice to his father. It was during that time that Gaetano passed his knowledge so he could one day run Dino's. Dominic took over the business in 2007 and still uses his father's original recipe to this day. For the past 35 years Dino's has been a staple in the Wyoming Valley Mall and continues to serve the best pizza and Italian specialties in the Wyoming Valley.
