Ministry Overview: Vision

As Pastor, my goals are to cast the vision for the church through the preaching of the Word, to equip the membership to carry out the work of the ministry, and to transform the local church into a launching pad for evangelistic missions in the community, state, nation, and to the ends of the earth.

My vision is to lead a church to be a Great Commission – Bible believing body of Christ. Also to encourage the body of Christ to recognize His lordship over all we do. I desire to be used by Him to transform the lives of the lost and to build up the spiritual lives of the saints.
I believe the Bible is the inspired, written, word of God and that all of its contents is true and absolutely relevant for the lives of believers and all humankind in every generation. I believe the Bible faithfully proclaims and consistently teaches the Life, Person and Work of Jesus Christ – the Good News.
I believe the role of pastors and other ministry leadership is to lead the Church in glorifying God; to build up the Church through evangelism and the equipping of the saints in their spiritual gifts; the pastoral ministry of feeding the sheep, seeking the lost, and healing the broken; and the priestly ministries of preaching the Word of truth, praying with constancy, and oversight of Church affairs and worship.
The Great Commission summarizes the mission of the Church and our reason for existing in the world. We are called to make disciples of all nations, which is a two-fold process: Discipleship, the building up of believers in the Church, bringing them to maturity in Christ; and Evangelization, taking the Good News of the Gospel to the world and making new disciples.

I believe Baptism and the Lord’s Supper are the two chief ordinances instituted by Christ for the Church as tokens of His saving work through His Sacrifice and Holy Spirit.

I believe the Church is the Body of Christ and the Family of God. As such, all believers are called to participate in His ministry in their various giftings and capacities, and to serve Christ as they serve one another in love. I believe a well-rounded, multi-generational church and ministries will tend to be the healthiest and happiest church.

I believe that the church should work with local churches, denominational associations, and possibly inter-denominational efforts – prayerfully recognizing and partnering with God’s work as He leads.
