Divine Child High School Theatre

Divine Child High School is the largest Catholic Co-ed high school in the State of Michigan. The theater department, from August 1982 until June 2012, had been under the loving guidance of Mrs. Karen Pritchard, a 35-year DCHS teacher, who now enjoys a wonderful retirement. We would like to extend a warm welcome to Ms. Elisa Noeske, a DCHS graduate, and now an English Department teacher, who is about to begin her 2nd year teaching at DCHS. Ms. Noeske also takes on this year the roles of Theatre Director and Drama Club Moderator. We have been a Charter Member of the Educational Theater Association since 1982, and have performed at the International Thespian Festival, as well as state competitions, on a regular basis. The students, directors, and designers have won numerous PAGE awards from best production to best director since its inception. A typical season can consist of a full-length play in the fall, a musical in the spring, student directed one acts, a touring children's show, and a competition show to bring to festivals. The school has an International Thespian Society Troupe, #3508, honoring Theater Arts, and a Drama Club, which is a Member of Educational Theater Association (EdTA), Dearborn Area Theater Association (DATA), and the International Thespian Society.
