Dock Street Brewery

Founded in 1985, Dock Street Brewing Co. was the first microbrewery in Philadelphia and one of the first in the country. Today, Dock Street is a small artisanal brewery that finds its home in a magnificent historic firehouse on the corner of 50th and Baltimore Ave., in a progressive, eclectic and counter-culture neighborhood that reflects Dock Street's philosophy. Dock Street has a rich brewing history, a reputation for exceptional quality, innovation and brewing distinctive beers. Dock Street continues to experiment and push the boundaries of the Craft Brewing movement.

In 2013, Dock Street Spirits was founded by Rosemarie Certo, Marilyn Candeloro and later joined by Regina Pfohl. Dock Street Brewery, founded by Certo, got out in front of the craft beer revolution in 1985 as one of the nation’s first post-prohibition microbreweries [with the likes of Sam Adams and Sierra Nevada]. Now, the troupe at Dock Street Spirits is full steam ahead in two other burgeoning industries: mezcal and craft spirits. Vicio Mezcal launched in Philadelphia in June 2014.
