Dog Beach Honeymoon Island

Have a fun filled day with your dog in the water at the Honeymoon Island State Park dog beach. It's located on the southern side of the park, and is a wide-open doggie playground. The water is shallow, so dogs can walk in the water, and really cool off on a hot day. Make sure you bring a Frisbee for added fun on this awesome beach adenture.

Shallow areas, clear blue water. Dog wash area. Dogs are allowed in designated areas such as the pet beach on the southern tip of the island and on the nature trail.

DOGS MUST be on a 6 FOOT hand held leash at all times!!! Owners are also required to supervise and clean up after their dog. Follow the signs in the park for the dog beach.

There are two doggie wash stations available to rinse off the saltwater after you are done playing. Make sure you bring plenty of water for your dog. The walk to the doggie beach rom the parking lot is approx. 500 yards.
