Dominican University Honors Program

The Honors Program is for motivated students who want to excel in their chosen major and plan to have an active role in their educational development. The classes offered have different topic themes and are more interactive than the typical lecture format. Honors GE classes are taken over 4 years, irregardless of major, this fosters lasting friendships within students in the program.

In addition to the academic benefits Honors students have priority registration for classes, ability to register over the 17 units twice (up to 6 free units) during their academic career, and access to the Honors Room in the Library with a computer and printer. Upon graduation your diploma with have the Scholar of the World designation and the title of your senior thesis will be listed. Participating in the Honors Program is a good benefit which helps when applying for internships, jobs, graduate and professional schools. For more information please see the DUC website.
