To provide a dignified, peaceful journey from life to death through excellence in spiritual, emotional and physical care to those who are dying and their loved ones.
The Dougherty Hospice House is not just a place. It is a concept of care designed to provide comfort and support to patients and their families when they no longer respond to cure-oriented treatments.
The main goal of the Dougherty Hospice House is to improve the quality of a patient's end-of-life journey offering comfort and dignity from an interdisciplinary team of specially trained professionals and volunteers.
We do this by providing a unique sixteen-bed facility with a home-like setting to bring peace and comfort to patients and their loved ones. More important, we provide the warmth and security of a home while offering the acute medical assistance required for end-of-life care.
