We study The Hunter's Guide which is a publication of The National Rifle Association along with orienteering, safety trails, archery, black powder, shotgun, and light rifle(22). Youth do need their hunter safety completed to compete but not to attend meetings. We have equipment available so please don't let not having the availability to a bow or firearm keep you from the program. This is a great way for our youth to experience and learn hands on while learning from great volunteers who share the love of the outdoors, respect firearms, and enjoy sharing the skills needed to be a true outdoor sportsman.
