Amy Gibson Brown has a BA from Old Dominion University in Theatre and Dance, Minor in Counseling. She attended Texas Christian University on Scholarship pursuing her Masters in Ballet. While attending ODU she also was a cheerleader for ODU. Her main success is her almost 21 year old son Gabe. Amy has taught Dance since the age of 15. Amy has studied and performed with several Theatre Companies, and Ballet Companies in VA, NY and TX. Not only a Dancer but Amy has completed many Marathons, Triathlons including Two Ironman Distance Triathlons. Amy has been blessed to open two other studios before Downtown Dance CO. Oceanfront Dance CO. in VA Beach for 15 years and Bayfront Dance Co. for 2 before finding her final spot with Downtown Dance Co. Amy has trained students to continue on with their Dance Careers through Professional Careers in Dance, Collegiate Dance and also encouraged and inspired former students to excel in teaching dance, and has Taught them how to operate a Dance Studio and Learn how to run a Successful Recital. Amy has organized Pharrell Williams Summer Dance Camp Program with From One Hand to Another for the past two years in VA. Beach. Amy's Passion is to inspire and to teach others to Show up For Their Life. Amy is also certified in Yoga, Barre Fitness, Zumba Fitness and her staff is an amazing group of Inspiring Teachers certified in their Classes. Downtown Dance Co. is not just a Studio it is a Family. Amy lives at the Oceanfront with her Attorney Husband Sam and their three dogs and is very involved with her family.
