Most doctor's offices don't have the time or the infrastructure in place to implement the importance of food and exercise, and how that prevents most chronic ailments. Proper nutrition and physical fitness is the path to wellness and longevity. As co-owner with my wife Judy, together with my son Evan, we have embarked on a project that is the culmination of at least 4 years of planning. Forge-Rx and CrossFit Winder, two fitness concepts under one roof, will implement the wisdom of fitness and nutrition = wellness. In addition, our facility will enable anyone, man or woman, to measure their blood pressure, weight, BMI, % body fat, glucose, HgA1C, and lipid profile. We want to screen for high blood pressure, diabetes, cholesterol abnormalities, and obesity in a non-traditional medical environment. We want to encourage, inspire, motivate and support our clients to make healthy lifestyle choices.
