Dr Steven G Black and Dr Kayla N Black

Welcome to our practice! We would like to tell you a little about who we are and what we are about. God has truly blessed our practice.

Dr. Steven Black received his doctorate in optometry from Indiana University in 1983. He began private practice that year and in 1992 moved my practice to its current location at 4424 S. 7th St. Terre Haute, IN.

Dr. Kayla Black also received her doctorate in optometry from Indiana University. She joined the practice in 2015. Both optometrist are members of the American Optometric Association and the Indiana Optometric Association.

Our goal is to provide you with the most professional, comprehensive, and personal care possible. We stay informed through continuing education and remain current with the latest technology. We have an intelligent, knowledgeable, compassionate staff, whose only job is to please you. They are loyal and have been with Dr. Steven Black for years, so you will always know with whom you are dealing. Natalie started in 1993, Shanna in 1996, and Michele in 2014. Beverly, Dr. Steven's mother and Dr. Kayla's grandmother, recently retired but was with the practice since 1992. Since our practice is growing we have added a few new faces, Brittney started in 2015 and Jody in 2017.

We strive for 100% patient satisfaction. We try to explain everything we are doing to your eyes, and keep you informed of everything that is going on with your glasses or contact lenses. Sometimes serious eye conditions arise that are beyond the scope of our practice. When that happens, we have and excellent network of specialists to whom we can refer.
