Dragonfly Community Learning Group

Dragonfly is an enriching environment for homeschooled children ages 5 - 8 to learn with their peers through play and collaboration.

An inviting space created by a former kindergarten teacher, Dragonfly is the perfect place for the early childhood mind to thrive. Available each day are sensory materials, a huge craft space filled with recyclables, loose objects for creating and building, puzzles and dramatic play materials, books, natural outdoor play space, and a garden. With plenty of time for free play, the day also includes story time, music, group discussion, and project work.

Children are the leaders at Dragonfly. We are the facilitators who provide them with materials, space, and a guiding hand if needed. Dragonfly was started as Magen Hansen became increasingly disappointed with the options for schooling for her children. Dragonfly gives parents both the benefits of homeschooling, and giving their children a place to learn and play with their peers on a consistent basis. We hope to build a small community of friends who work together to learn about the world around us through experience and play.
