Dream Big Equine

Dream Big Equine Hoof Care & Training will eventually be housed under Dream Big Farm. My ultimate goal for Dream Big is to operate a rescue horse farm and a training facility.

I offer barefoot trimming and focus on the well being of the entire horse. I believe that horses thrive when they live as nature intended, not with metal nailed to the bottoms of their feet. My purpose in trimming hooves is to help the horse grow a strong, tough foot that has a tight hoof wall and proper capsule. I could continue on about why barefoot horses are happier horses, but that might take all day! Feel free to ask me more about it :)

My training methods are a mix of natural horsemanship and things I have learned from my experiences with horses. I think that there are many great clinicians out there, but do not believe there is one correct method for every horse. Each horse is unique and requires patience to learn what makes him who he is. I believe in having patience with each horse I work with and altering my training methods to fit what works for that individual horse. I think that positive reinforcement is the most effective way for a horse to learn. Allowing him to choose the correct way to respond to what I ask teaches him better than only punishing him for not doing what I ask.

I also offer riding lessons. I can travel to you and your horse, or have lesson horses available.
