Dream Center

We are very excited about all that's going on with the Dream Center. Here is some information on several of the outreaches and ministries we have going on within the DC:

After School at the DC
We have an After School program Tuesday-Friday from 2:30-5:30pm at the Dream Center (1116 West Daisy Bates Drive, Little Rock 72201) where we have between 50+ kids show up every day to hang out, work on homework, get a snack, play basketball and most importantly build relationships. This is a really fun outreach and one where we're really needing more volunteers.

Guys Night/Girls Night
We have Guys Night and Girls Night happening every week for the kids of the Dream Center in Little Rock. Our aim with these nights are to begin to create small groups and to facilitate opportunities for mentoring relationships to be made. We're doing this with Guys Night (Tuesdays: K-6th Grade & Wednesdays: 7th - 12th Grade at 6p) by playing basketball or having some other activity, having dinner together, and then having a short talk on a relevant topic and Godly application in our lives. We're basically doing the same thing with Girls Night (Friday Nights at 6p). We are looking for volunteers who are committed to coming, serving, and building relationships with these kids in aims towards potentially mentorship. **Application required

Project Prevention
Project Prevention targets families who are risk of losing their kids to DHS foster care due to reasons of poverty. We partner with DHS so that we can step in and meet the very basic needs of these families, such as providing beds, other furniture, groceries, toiletry items, and other various items, so that these families can remain together. Our heart is to help families who are loving parents that are working hard to make a good life for their children, but because of certain circumstances are unable to make ends meet. We need volunteers who will help deliver furniture whenever a need comes up. We are also looking for volunteers who will commit to a weekly visit to families to deliver groceries and other items.

Adopt-A-Block
Adopt-A-Block is our outreach that happens every Saturday in both Conway and Little Rock. Our goal is to establish teams of volunteers who will "adopt" blocks of the city to build relationship with the people, serve the people, and be a light. We are doing this now through several activities such as doing yard work, passing out water on street corners, organizing kids activities, having a community breakfast or lunch...etc just to name a few. If you're interested in getting involved with the Dream Center, Adopt-A-Block is a great place to get your feet wet. It's low-commitment, you can drop in any Saturday, hang out and help and come back anytime you can! In Little Rock we meet at 9:00am at the Little Rock Dream Center location and in Conway we meet at 10:30am at the Conway Campus. The outreach usually lasts until 1pm.

DC Kids
We are meeting kids daily who are fighting the battles of life without a true concept of the Savior that died and rose again to fight for them. DC Kids services aim to introduce kids to Jesus in an authentic, dynamic, and full-of-life kind of way that will open their eyes to the life that God has created for them. We want to see kids fall in love with Jesus, develop leadership and discipleship, skills and change the world around them! DC Kids takes place on Saturday mornings from 10a-12p at the Little Rock Dream Center and we need volunteers who like to speak, help lead worship, greeters, and can run the technical side.
