Dreamship Community

We practice holding a safe, clean and sober, nurturing, creative and collaborative space for community building, skill sharing, art and music making, wellness training, diversity celebrating, survival preparation, homesteading, playing and dreaming as well as many other communal uses. We are committed to sharing healthy and non-violent communication, resources, support, recovery and food. We are also committed to reducing our carbon footprint through energy conservation, composting, recycling and reducing waste by reusing as much as possible.



Our collective vision is to become fully self-sustainable by cooperatively owning at least two properties; the current urban Dreamship art house at 15 Boynton Street in Portland, Maine as well as a yet-to-be-acquired rural Dreamship farmstead. Our intent to expand will be to grow our own organic food to supply our entire community as well as our local communities through CSA and local farmer’s markets. At Dreamship, each resident has the opportunity to use Dreamship properties, resources and community support to advance their individual and collective dreams.
