Dropped Anchor Tattoo

I have been a tattoo artist since 2004 legally I should say since I was tattooing off the back porches, basements,friends houses, and anywhere else I could since I was thirteen. Since I was 5 and seen my first tattoo I have always been interested in tattoos and tattooing, what can I say I wanted to be the guy that did the drawings that lasted forever. In 2004 I started working at Incorporated in Zanesville Ohio, another artist and good friend of mine got me hired on after doing one tattoo in front of the owner. Now Incorporated was just a street shop like any other, walls lined with tattoo flash and most business was all walk-ins. Not what I really had in mind when I got into tattooing, I was already doing custom pieces on friends of mine and there friends. I worked at a few other shops here and there after that but really didn't want to work for anyone else. So in 2011 after a couple of phone calls me and Jason Ayers owner of Precision Pigment another artist I had worked with here and there, put together the idea to open a studio. We wanted a studio to show case and cater to our artwork, a shop that wasn't covered with tattoo flash, a shop where we worked at our own pace with out owners that had never tattooed a day in their lives standing over our shoulders wondering when they could set down that next walk-in so with that in mind and a few calls to friends we opened Bell Street Tattoo, one of Zanesville Ohio finest tattoo studios.
