Life happens to us relentlessly. Everyday, all day. From the minute we wake up in the morning to the minute we hit the pillow we are on a mission to complete tasks, make appointments, finish projects, build and maintain relationships, meet deadlines, tend to family, deal with crisis. Essentially, our bodies and minds have few opportunities to repair themselves in the typical work week. While sleep is a time of recovery for some, many people in todays culture and society have difficulty achieving the right amount or the right quality of sleep for their bodies to properly recover. This constant "Fight or Flight" mode that we tend to operate in is the primary cause of built up tension, stress, and disease.
