While the area of Dutch Kills is going through massive changes in re-zoning between commercial and residential, Dutch Kills Centraal's goal is to keep the spirit of the neighborhood welcoming for all who pass our doors.

Just a few short years ago, Queensboro Plaza was full of bad architecture,strip clubs, and remnants of a thriving epicenter from days long past. Locals whose collective memories still fringe on those glory days are often in awe of the sudden transformation of the new direction their lifelong neighborhood is headed. Greeted by travelers from all over the world pouring in from the new hotels, great food and drinks, as well as cold beer on tap, everyone is welcome to under one roof - here at Dutch Kills Centraal.

More than a bar or restaurant, Dutch Kills Centraal offers a menu of innovative comfort foods and well thought specials utilizing local purveyors and organic products. Our beer on tap is carefully selected, and rotates throughout the years to match the seasons; the wine list mirrors that concept and is priced affordably. The cocktail menu we offer is an assortment of classics, again seasonal, made with the finest local ingredients.

Dutch Kills Centraal interior promotes the use of sustainable furnishings. We sourced Build it Green where nearly all of our seating was found, wine bottles light fixtures, and even salvaged our front door out of the trash of a local school that only needed a fresh coat of paint - it already had charm! Everything was sourced and chosen based on our desire to reconstitute the space, from the original bar down and pristine floor tiles.

There are so many ways to give back to a neighborhood, opening the doors at Dutch Kills Centraal is ours. As the neighborhood develops as a hub for travelers and residents alike,we hope everyone has a chance to experience our hospitality
