Earl R. Daugherty

A life-long West Virginian, Earl has been active in Doddridge County’s wide variety of local planning issues, such as the loss of small family farms, struggling local businesses on Main Street, demolished historic sites, responsible timbering vs. the loss of forest lands, and the management of Doddridge County’s extensive oil and natural gas reserves. Earl works for environmentally conscious commercial property management to shift spending from energy and waste management to business development that increases profits.

Understanding the vital struggle to retain the natural beauty and resources of West Virginia, Earl has channeled his education to implement their protection and management. At Potomac State College, he majored in Forestry and minored in Business Administration, with a second major in Political Science. His Bachelor of Science Degree (Salem, College, Salem, WV) was in Business Administration. Other education includes: Comprehensive accounting (Salem College), Real Estate (Kelley’s School of Real Estate), Dale Carnegie Course, C.P.A. Coaching Course, Oil and Gas Taxation – Basic and Advanced, Petroleum Accounting I and II, A.I.C.P.A. Staff Level I, City of Clarksburg Municipal Internship, as well as Continuing Education Courses – Real Estate and Accounting on an annual basis.

As president of Four Leaf Land Company, Earl is experienced in commercial, rural, and residential real estate consulting. His rural land development and service company provides a full range of forestry and land management services to landowners (individual, corporate, and non-profit). Earl’s skills and experience in natural gas and oil production are critical to management and acquisition of mineral rights in Doddridge County.
