East Area Adult School

East Area Adult School is dedicated to providing adult education programs delivered with integrity and at the highest level of quality and service. We provide individualized instruction in a classroom setting with highly qualified state certified teachers. Our small class size provides an environment that is conducive to adult learners who wish to complete their GED preparation, improve their English skills, raise their scores for entry to postsecondary institutions and prepare for job related advancement. Students are provided with this instruction and state of the art technology resources at a low cost tuition fee of $ 30.00 per semester.
The programs available at East Area Adult School are:
ABE: Adult Basic Education
Supports student improvement in reading, writing and math skills.
GED: General Education Development
Prepares students for the General Education Development (GED) exams to receive a State of Florida High School diploma.
ESOL: English for Speakers of other Languages
Teaches adult students to read, write and speak English or improve their English skills.
Adult High School: Assists students to complete high school credits for their Polk County High School diploma.
Classes are open to adults 16 years or older who are not enrolled in a K-12 school
